The festival was all about watching classic cars being raced, but an interesting sideline to these sorts of events is the cars that turn up either just in the car park or for owners to show off. These cars were grouped together, but I couldn't quite work out why, except that they were all in superb condition and that it was great to see them all together: AC Bristol: A couple of gorgeous BMW's in the car park, a 2002 and a 1800: Another gorgeous classic in the car park,a a Peugeot 404 in stunning condition: Alfa Spider:
Ferrari were a featured marque on the Sunday: This 550 was being driven by a very nice Welsh chap who takes his car back every year to the UK for an MOT and service, the exhaust wasn't standard and sounded superb. He also has a 430 Challenge car based at Silverstone! Lotus Europa: Caterham: This is a Mega and is 4wd: A lovely Porsche 356, suprisingly not part of the Porsche display: Another Fiat 850 spider: An original Mini Clubman, Mini was also a featured marque, but there were sadly very few: This Moke is the only known military Moke! Originally sold to the Moroccan army, it's had quite a history: A '70's Mustang, the drivers came in 'period' costume! A Buggy, I was taking some pics of it when a couple of guys came over holding cameras, I assumed that they were going to do the same as me, I turned my back for a second, when I looked back they were in in and driving off! A rather tatty old Datsun in the car park: An original Passat, not in the greatest of conditions: Another odd car park spot: Saab 96: Maserati 422: Jaguar 3.8S: Audi RS2: Porsche were another featured marque, this 914 was a lovely spot: Lots of superb 911 including a 1989 Speedster: This Cadillac Eldorado arrived very late, hence the rushed pic! A rather old Afla 33 estate: An unusual Mini Martini: Some future classics?
